This is Green Wall in Fog from Carolyn Friedlander's Friedlander on a Lawn base. Carolyn even designed a new quilt pattern for her Lawn fabrics: Wildabon Quilt. The inner garmento in us thinks these lawns would look great in spring and summer blouses, shirts and dresses!
The Friedlander collection speaks of influence: the marks we make on the world and the people around us, and the ways in which we’re shaped in turn. The tree motif features in this collection. She muses, "The trees that I’ve planted are tiny, they’re growing, but they were so tiny when I planted them. It may be 50 years before any of them grow into the character that I’ve dreamed for them, and who’s to say where I’ll be when that happens. Yes, I could certainly be here, in the same place and enjoying the trees and their shade, or there could be someone else in my place, and (I hope) they’d be enjoying them. I can only hope that their legacy impacts someone else in the way that the landscape of my grandfather has impacted me."
Fabric measures approx. 44" wide. Printed on 100% cotton lawn (2 oz per square yard). 12" repeat.
