Made from 55% Bluefaced Leicester and 45% Silk with a generous 800m per 100g, this yarn is hand dyed in shimmering complimentary tones, making it perfect for giving special lace projects a ‘wow’ factor.
The combination of Bluefaced Leicester wool gives the yarn structure while the silk provides a beautiful sheen and makes the colours glow wonderfully. The blend of both fibres makes the yarn strong enough to be blocked well and show off lace patterns to their best advantage.
The Tweed Imps colourway was used by Kate Davies in the pattern, "A Hap for Harriet," included in her Happit book.
Please note: yarns are dyed in batches, please make sure that you order enough yarn for your project as dye lots do vary between batches and colourways may not perfectly match.
Gleem is sold as a skein. We are happy to wind the skein into a ball for you (just leave us a note to do so in the comment box). Please note that all skeins once wound into a ball are non-refundable.
