Sea Flower features a traditional Indian floral, hand block motif. The base of the fabric has been hand dyed to reflect a blue color gradient, undulating from a darker to lighter sea blue tones, along its 10 yard bolt length. Please refer to the listing photos above to see what the fabric looks like along its different segments.
We went to India to find these wonderful block print fabrics made using traditional hand block and dye techniques. This fabric is completely hand printed and hand dyed. Perfect for apparel or a quilt!
For the first wash, place the fabric in the washing machine at 85-105 degrees Fahrenheit with a handful of table salt. This will fix the dye to prevent it running. (85 - 105 degrees Fahrenheit is typically the cold or warm setting on a US washing machine. Please refer to your individual washing machine's operating manual for temperature setting).
43" (110cm) wide. 100% summer weight cotton. Hand dyed in Jaipur, India.
Sold and priced in 1/4 yard increments. We cut additional increments of fabric continuously. For example, if you select 4 units (which equates to 1 yard), you will receive a single piece of fabric that is 43" (110cm) wide and 1yard long. We regret that fabric, once cut, is non-refundable.
This fabric sells for $12/yard or $3 for a quarter yard strip.
