Isadora is a watercolour design painted in Liberty’s own studio, with fronds interweaving in a lively and dreamlike repeat. The peacock feather motif references the Aesthetic Movement of the 1880s, which was closely associated with Liberty’s design heritage – it is named after Liberty founder Arthur’s contemporary, the dancer Isadora Duncan.
About the Collection
For AW2019's Aesthetic Renaissance collection, Liberty Fabrics’ in-house design team drew inspiration from the adventurous life and artistic inspirations of our founder, Sir Arthur Lasenby Liberty. Traveller, tastemaker and gentleman, Arthur’s passion for globetrotting and treasure-hunting with his wife Emma forms the basis of Liberty’s enduring appeal. Inspirations swing from expeditions in faraway lands to the peace and quiet of English country gardens, via the opulently stylised forms of the Aesthetic Movement and Art Nouveau styles.
Sold in 1/4 meter (0.27 yards) increments. Price is for a 1/4 meter. We cut additional increments of fabric continuously. For example, if you select 4 units (which equates to 1 meter), you will receive a single piece of fabric that is 53" wide and 1 meter long. We regret that fabric, once cut, is non-refundable.
This fabric is $36/meter or $9 for a quarter meter strip.
