Happy Mink

A distinctive blend of guilt-free mink and cashmere fibers entirely spun by hand into a curiously soft yarn with lumps and bumps along the way. Each skein is one of a kind, just like you!

Mink fibers are carefully collected through combing once a year leaving the furry lil’ critters happy and healthy. Mink fibers are finer and shorter than average. We blend ours with longer cashmere fibers to conjur up a magically soft halo.  

ORIGIN: Inner Mongolia, discovered by the intrepid explorers of Jones & Vandermeer in the early 21st century.

Please note the following:

- Happy Mink can be fragile from time to time.  Please be gentle when winding.  We are happy to wind the skein into a ball for you (just write us a note in the comments box at check-out). Please note that all skeins once wound into a ball are non-refundable.

- Happy Mink is washed and ready-to-knit.  Because it is handspun, there are no oils from the commercial spinning process, leaving it gorgeously soft as you knit. 

- Mink fibers are shorter than average, and as a result will shed a bit initially when knitting. We recommend keeping a towel on one's lap to catch fibers that have worked their way free.
