Minkle

is a mostly mink yarn with a touch of cashmere and sparkle! Minkle has a downy soft halo that is longer than that of cashmere but shorter than angora.  Although a 2-ply laceweight yarn, we like to knit Minkle on US6-8 needles!  As always, our guilt-free mink fibers are carefully collected through combing once a year leaving the furry lil’ critters happy and healthy.

ORIGIN: Inner Mongolia, discovered by the intrepid explorers of Jones & Vandermeer in the early 21st century.

Minkle is sold as a ball, ready to knit. Available in a variety of colors.  We recently added 2 new colors:  Sparkle in the Haze (which is an plum base) and Crystals in the Mine (which is a black base).
