I AM's "Diana" Dress and Playsuit Pattern

I am Diana, a playsuit or a pleated dress. You can make me with short sleeves or sleeveless. In each of my versions, I feature a shawl collar and a double-breasted closure that finishes at the small hips. The narrow bodice panels lengthen my silhouette. In the playsuit version, I have in-seam pockets. In the dress version, my pleated skirt starts from the cutout at the small hips. Depending on the fabrics used I can follow you on relaxed outings or dressed up parties.

SUPPLIES

  • Fabric

  • Interfacing: 32’’ x 38’’ (80 x 95 cm)

  • 6 buttons of 3/4’’ (2 cm) diameter

  • A & C: 52’’ (1.3 m) of 3/8’’ (1 cm) wide double-folded bias tape

  • Optional: 1 sew-on snap fastener to close the front wrap if too revealing

A, B and bust of C & D: fabric that has a good drape and is not too thick: crepe, Tencel, linen, chambray, cotton or viscose twill, double gauze, lightweight denim…

Skirt of C & D: pleated fabric
