Product Description

Betsy Field is a stylised small floral design, created in 1933. This new version has been placed onto a ground for a bold hit of colour. It was designed by the mysterious designer D.S., who was behind many of our other favourite classic Liberty prints of the era. Betsy has appeared on Classic Tana since 1982.

Crepe de chine is one of the best silk bases for daytime wear – it’s effortlessly luxe, with a lightweight drape that’s made more durable by its matte, slightly rough surface. Try using crepe de chine to create a louche effect with wide-leg trousers and loosely tailored shirts, or with fluted sleeves and ruffled accents for a romantic feel.

AW23 Classic Silk Collection

Liberty Fabrics has produced a range of our most beloved Classic designs on our favourite silk bases. Silk is woven into the history of Liberty – the original product sold when we opened our doors in 1875, it was prized for its incomparable lustrousness, colouring and tactility by an artistically-minded Victorian clientele. The Classic Silk Collection offers fresh versions of some of our most well-loved designs (including Art Nouveau, paisleys, landscapes and ditsy florals), reworked and recoloured for an opulent and yet utterly modern approach to iconic Liberty silks.

Fabric measures 54" wide.  Printed on 100% silk, Kensington Crepe de Chine (96 gsm meter). Designed in the UK, printed in Italy.

Sold in 1/4 meter (0.27 yards) increments. Price is for a 1/4 meter. We cut additional increments of fabric continuously.  For example, if you select 4 units (which equates to 1 meter), you will receive a single piece of fabric that is 53" wide and 1 meter long. We regret that fabric, once cut, is non-refundable.

This fabric is $72/meter or $18 for a quarter meter strip.
