Product Description

A key Victorian motif and prominent emblem of the Aesthetic Movement of the 1880s, the elegant peacock has graced Liberty dress, scarf and furnishing fabrics in its may guises throughout the years.  The earliest version of the this striking conversational appears in a Liberty silk book dating from 1925.  Revived in a much larger scale and recolored in rich, bold palettes during the mid-1980s, this design showcases Liberty's ongoing love affair with these majestic and mysterious creatures.

The Liberty Legends Capsule

Liberty Legends is made up of archival designs from the 60s and 70s.  Featured in the archive book and worn by iconic musicians of the day, including Jimi Hendrix and Ginger Baker, these flamboyant prints have been revived by Liberty's in-house design team in bright, bold hues that pay homage to their origin.  A celebration of Liberty's legendary print archive, this collection is exclusively printed on Organic Tana Lawn® cotton.

Fabric measures 53" wide.  Printed on superfine 100% organic cotton lawn. Designed in UK, printed in Italy.

Sold in 1/4 meter (0.27 yards) increments. Price is for a 1/4 meter. We cut additional increments of fabric continuously.  For example, if you select 4 units (which equates to 1 meter), you will receive a single piece of fabric that is 53" wide and 1 meter long. We regret that fabric, once cut, is non-refundable.

This fabric is $38/meter or $9.50 for a quarter meter strip.
