Product Description

This design represents Dionysus, the Greek god of fruitfulness and wine, through his symbol of the grapevine – in his role as a nature god, he is connected to the bounty of the harvest. Redrawn from a design discovered in the Liberty archive, this Arts and Crafts style layout features tiny stylised florals, garden birds and an abundance of trailing grapes and vines – a traditional Liberty design, brimming with detail and charm.

A Liberty Odyssey

For Autumn/Winter 2023, A Liberty Odyssey takes us on an adventure inspired by early storytelling – a dazzling contemporary voyage through the world of ancient myths. For this collection, the Liberty Fabrics designers drew upon the potent iconography and enduring cultural significance of millennia-old narratives of gods and goddesses, with four stories of ‘Classical’, ‘Universe’, ‘Earth’, and ‘Oceans’. A sweeping tour across sea, land, and heavens, shot through with captivating mythic imagery and symbolism to ignite the imagination.

Fabric measures 56/57" wide (1.46m/1.42m).  Printed on superfine 100% cotton Piccadilly Poplin (approximately 110 grams per square meter). Made in the Italy.

Sold in 1/4 meter (0.27 yards) increments. Price is for a 1/4 meter. We cut additional increments of fabric continuously.  For example, if you select 4 units (which equates to 1 meter), you will receive a single piece of fabric that is 56/57" wide and 1 meter long. We regret that fabric, once cut, is non-refundable.

This fabric is $37/meter or $9.25 for a quarter meter strip.
