One of our suitcase finds that came home with us on a trip to Japan! Betsy is a small stylised floral design, created in 1933 – it was designed by the mysterious ‘DS’, who also created many of beloved Liberty prints. Betsy has been part of the classic Tana Lawn® collection since 1982.
In addition to being a Japan only colorway, the scale of this Japan version of Betsy differs; it is somewhere between the size of the classic UK Betsy and Betsy Ann prints. Please refer to the last listing photo for a comparison of the three prints.
Fabric measures 42.5" wide. Printed in Japan on 100% cotton Japanese tana lawn. Tana Lawn produced in Japan is extremely fine, arguably with a smoother hand and sheen than the UK version.
Sold in 1/4 meter (0.27 yards) increments. Price is for a 1/4 meter. We cut additional increments of fabric continuously. For example, if you select 4 units (which equates to 1 meter), you will receive a single piece of fabric that is 42.5" wide and 1 meter long.
This fabric is $40/meter or $10 for a quarter meter strip.
