Maison Fauve's "Cicadella" Blouse Pattern

The CICADELLA blouse is a pattern imbued with poetry: its volume delicately outlines the bust thanks to princess cut-outs, while its dancer neckline cuts into the nape of the neck and lifts the neck. Long sleeves with a worked cuff mark this timelessly feminine model.

The pattern features a very high level of finishing adapted to openwork fabrics, with the possibility of fully doubling the bust, neckline and armhole seams trimmed with bias tape and seam allowances for joining your pieces with English seams on the bust and sleeves.

Seam allowances are included (1 CM). Bilingual French / English pattern.  Written using metric units.

Skill level:  beginner for the unlined short-sleeve or elbow version, intermediate for the lined and long-sleeve versions. Technical points include bias placement, sleeve construction, tear-resistant slit, point cuff construction and gathers.

Sizes: 34-52 (French) / approximately equal to size 4 to 22 (US). Please refer to size charts for more information.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium-weight fabrics (80 to 200 g/m2) with more or less hold, depending on the desired finish. Viscose, fine, supple jacquard, tencel, cotton, crepe, poplin, satin or twill. For lined versions, choose beautiful lace, guipure and matching cotton voile for the lining.
