Maison Fauve - Misfit Perfecto Jacket

Iconic, timeless, a wardrobe essential, the perfecto is a key piece to add to your handmade closet. We want it to be perfect: challenge successfully met with the MISFIT perfecto pattern. Neither too long nor too short, it has the perfect proportions and the expected volume effect without overwhelming the silhouette. All the codes of the biker jacket are present: the signature collar, shoulder tabs and gussets, wide belt, and the large front zipper that echoes the zippers on the piped pockets and gusseted sleeve hems.

MISFIT is the bad boy jacket for women who are not as well-behaved as they seem…

The Misfit Pattern is graded from 34 to 52. The finished garment measurement chart is available in the product photos.

Skill level:  ADVANCED. The technical points are the zipped piped pockets, the zipped gusseted sleeve hems, the lining/jacket assembly, the collar, and the belt.

Sizes: 34 to 52 (French) / approximately equal to size 4 to 22 (US).  Please refer to size charts for more information

Supplies:

• 3 buttons between 15 and 20 mm
• 1 45 cm separating zipper and 4 13 cm non-separating zippers for sleeves and pockets
• 90 cm length of fusible interfacing. We use Vlieseline G700

• Fabrics with a width of 140 cm : 
     Fabric: 34-42: 160 cm, 44-52: 190 cm
     Lining: 34-52: 130 cm

• Universal sewing machine needles

Fabric choice : only woven fabrics, jacquard, tweed, medium-weight denim, leather or faux leather, gabardine, weighing 230 to 400g/m2 depending on the desired effect. For the lining, MF recommends choosing a specific lining fabric, such as  100% cupro lining, which is slippery and more breathable than polyester.
