Maison Fauve's "Prose Dress" Pattern

The PROSE dress is a little couture gem: the bust creates a trompe l'oeil effect of a buttoned and beautifully V-neck blouse, and is also available in a sleeveless version for sunny days. The pleated skirt has an elaborate construction with darts and pleats, large Italian pockets for comfort, and allows you to play with lengths and fabrics thanks to its yoke. The pattern offers you the choice between the dress version and the skirt version. And to make the model accessible to all sewing levels, the dress slips on very easily thanks to its elasticated back waistband, which does not interfere with the front, making the dress as flattering as it is comfortable.

Long dress: 34-46: 280 cm, 48-52: 310 cm
Short dress: 34-40: 230 cm, 42-52: 260 cm
Sleeveless:
Long dress: 34-38: 230 cm, 40-52: 260 cm
Short dress: 34-40: 180 cm, 42-52: 210 cm

For all sizes:

Long skirt: 180 cm
Short skirt: 130 cm

30 cm of fusible interfacing
60 cm of contrasting fabric for the bottom ruffle
210 cm of piping if you want to highlight the top/bottom skirt seam
3 buttons approx. 12 mm for the sleeveless dress, and 5 for the long-sleeved version
2 cm high elastic measurement: 32 to 53 cm (see table p3)

Fabric choice: A light to medium weight fabric (100 to 200 g/m2), soft, with a beautiful drape such as poplin, crepe, fine jacquard, twill, or dupion, in cotton, linen, tencel, or silk.
