Maison Fauve's "Twist Dress" Pattern

Classic with a TWIST… Our new dress perfectly embodies the Natural High spirit. The line is clean, ultra-flattering, with THE detail that isn't really a detail: clever draping that camouflages the tummy and accentuates the waist without cinching it, thanks to an ingenious play of pleats and exceptional tailoring.

The pattern offers 4 variations: sleeveless or with short sleeves, it is available in 2 lengths: below or above the knee.

Skill level: INTERMEDIATE the technical points are making pleats, inlaid stitching, assembling a clean neckline, and inserting an invisible side zipper.

Sizes: 34 to 52 (French) / approximately equal to size 4 to 22 (US). Please refer to size charts for more information

Supplies:

Fabric for a width of 140 cm:
Long dress: 34-42: 150 cm, 44-48: 180 cm, 50-52: 200 cm
Short dress: 34-42: 135 cm, 44-48: 150 cm, 50-52: 180 cm
A 40 cm invisible zipper
20 cm of fusible interfacing or 60 cm for the sleeveless version

Fabric choice: A light to medium weight fabric (100 to 200 g/m2), soft, with a beautiful drape such as poplin, crepe, fine jacquard, twill, doupion, in viscose, cotton, linen, tencel or silk. The cut and pleats will be enhanced by supple fabrics. The pattern is designed for woven fabrics only; it is not intended for knit fabrics.
