Maison Fauve's "Roman Overcoat" Pattern

Enveloping, comfortable and well-cut, the ROMAN overcoat is a beautiful piece that you will never tire of wearing. Also available as a coat in a beautiful wool melton, it is full of couture details: the inverted back pleat for ease (and style), the simple or crossed collar, more fanciful, constructed in 2 parts, the cuff adorned with a tab for a structured coat look or with a wide cuff to contrast. Available in 2 lengths, with 2 pocket options, it also includes a removable collar tab, to be worn closed and with the collar up to protect against the wind or casually unbuttoned to fully embrace the spirit of classic British overcoats.

Fabric, 140 cm wide:

Long version: 34-42: 260 cm, 44-48: 300 cm, 50-52: 330 cm
120 cm of iron-on interfacing (e.g. Vlieseline G700)
Short version: 34-38: 200 cm, 40-44: 220 cm, 46-52: 260 cm
90 cm of iron-on interfacing (e.g. Vlieseline G700)

For a contrasting version: 40 cm of fabric for the collar, lapel, and pocket
2 buttons of approximately 15 mm for the collar tab
2 buttons of 18 mm for the sleeve tabs
For the front: 4 for the short version or 6 for the long version

Fabric choice: Woven fabrics only, cotton gabardine, wool (boiled wool, Melton wool, wool broadcloth), tweed, weighing 250 to 500g/m2 depending on the desired look. For the lining, MF recommends choosing a specific fabric, such as viscose or cupro, which are more breathable than polyester.
